Here Kiepe Electric introduces the significant milestones of its history: 1959 Foundation of Kiepe Italiana di Elettricità s.p.a., under the leadership of Mr. Franco Cerretelli, as branch office of the German Kiepe Elektrik GmbH.
In the ‘60s Kiepe changes name into Kiepe Electric, builds up a net of international contacts and acts on the Italian market as importer of mainly German products.
In the ’70s the German group transfers the ownership of the Italian subsidiary to the Cerretelli family. Kiepe Electric consolidates its action on the market with a vast organization of sub-agents.
In the ’80s new products widen Kiepe’s offer to the Italian Market.
The ’90s Alessandra Cerretelli took over the leadership of the company, starting an internal process of business reengineering.
In ’97 Kiepe Electric SpA is ISO certificated.
The market approach is focussed on the different needs of the different target customers, i.e. industrial maintenance and manufacture, safety at work in the height, electrification of local public transportation. 
With the new millennium beside the historical brands distributed by Kiepe, some new prestigious name appear, like Vahle in the electrification of moving industrial parts, TKD for the special cables, Railtech in the local public transportation.

Innovative solutions are continuously proposed to the market, as the Listec sensor cable for fire detection or the Spohn + Burkhardt controllers with bus interface and the fully motorized operator consoles, up to the remote controlled trolleybus switches and the seamless fall arrest harnesses.
